The Buckle’s Comps Slide 5 Percent in August

The Buckle, Inc. announced today that comparable store net sales for stores open at least one year for the 4-week period ended August 26, 2023, decreased 5.0 percent from the year-ago period.

Net sales decreased 4.7 percent to $112.5 million from net sales of $118.0 million for the prior year 4-week period.

Comparable store net sales year-to-date for the 30-week period ended August 26, 2023, decreased 6.1 percent. Net sales were down 5.7 percent to $687.8 million compared to net sales of $729.1 million a year ago.

Headquartered in Kearney, NB, the retailer currently operates 442 stores in 42 states, including the opening of two new stores during fiscal August in Nampa, ID and Poplar Bluff, MO.
